The HERO Rat is an advanced version of our hybrid lures, resembling a real rat in appearance. Its material mimics that of a real rat, as it is crafted almost entirely from natural hair and fur, without any rubber. The lure has a voluminous head that creates strong water vibrations, similar to our traditional models, but instead of a conventional rubber tail, it features a lightweight tail made from rabbit fur (Zonker Strips) and various other tying materials, similar to those used in large pike streamers.

This design offers several significant advantages:
- With a length of 22 to 30 cm, it qualifies as a genuine big bait but weighs only 20 to 40 grams when dry. This means you can cast it for hours without tiring easily.
- The lightweight tail has a fantastic action in the water, unlike that of rubber lures.
- At the end of the tail, there’s a treble hook, flexibly attached with a split ring and concealed by a rabbit fur Zonker tail. These thin Zonker tails are irresistible to predators and are easy for fish to swallow. Since the hook is at the very end of the tail, missed bites are nearly eliminated.
- The HERO Rat offers all the benefits of fly-fishing with large streamers, particularly with its fantastic, realistic swimming action. However, it can be cast with a standard spinning or baitcasting rod. Thanks to the lure’s head-focused weight, it casts smoothly, and its special construction nearly eliminates tangling.
- Unlike rubber tails, this tail is nearly indestructible and can withstand numerous pike attacks. The rear hook is fixed at the end of the tail with a split ring, allowing for easy replacement when needed.

The streamer-style Zonker tail is built on a flexible 1.6 mm stainless steel wire with a size #1 treble hook at the end. The hook is hidden by lightweight rabbit fur strips, which create an enticing, seductive motion with even minimal pull. This produces an even more realistic swimming action than a rubber trailer. Inspired by large streamers used for fly-fishing pike, this lure is mainly constructed from Bucktail (natural hair from North American white-tailed deer), rabbit fur, and various synthetic hairs. Only premium Bucktail from the USA is used. The long head hairs create an extra attraction by moving enticingly in the water. 

The core of the head consists of a laser-cut, rustproof 1.4571 stainless steel plate, resistant to seawater. While primarily designed for surface fishing, the HERO Rat can be fished at almost any desired depth by attaching a quick-change weight to the head's designated eyelet. Only high-quality components are used, rated to withstand a load of at least 22 kg.
